1. How do I know it wont lift or peel?

Our unique 8 stage cleaning process ensures the product will not lift from the concrete. Initially there were industry reports of problems with lifting and peeling, however, with our first-rate research team, exclusive techniques, and top quality products we can confidently provide you with a written guarantee against lifting or peeling.

2. What about my plants, lawn etc will it hurt my garden?

Most chemicals we use are water-soluble and will not cause damage, but we will take great care to ensure chemicals are not exposed to your prized plants and gardens by our spraying techniques and covering them if required.

3. So how do you actually do Spray Paving?

First we clean the area thoroughly using our unique 8 stage cleaning process
Surrounding areas are masked up to prevent any overspray damaging your property
Once dry a base coat is sprayed to give you colour in the 'grout lines' for stencil patterns
The first coat of colour is sprayed once the stencil or taped pattern has been laid
A second coat is applied once the first coat has dried thoroughly
When the job has dried, the stencil is removed and the area swept clean
To complete the job we apply sealer

4. What is the product you use to spray on the concrete?

We use a concrete slurry mix to which we add a colour pigment (of your choice) and an acrylic bonder. As the concrete mix cures (dries), it becomes stronger and is 4 times stronger than regular concrete due to the bonder added (as opposed to water). It is made to last

5. How do we maintain our new spray paving?

A simple sweep, or wash with normal household detergent and water agitated with a stiff broom. We recommend a clean and re-seal every few years to maintain the 'new look' and to maintain the protective sealer coating to help prevent stains (the sealer provides a non-porous surface).

6. I can see some white looking patches in the job - what is that?

Sometimes a new job may get white or cloudy looking patches from moisture escaping up through the concrete. This is easily fixed by us and is very common and instantly remedied by an additional coat of a special product (to dissolve the crystallized moisture) and add another coat of sealer.

7. How much does it cost?

This varies greatly dependant on what you are having done such as how simple or how extravagant the pattern. We also do custom jobs for businesses, clubs, schools etc. With so many variables to take into account, we will provide you with a no obligation free quote.
As a non-slip product Spray Paving is tax deductible for businesses and it may help reduce your insurance costs!

8. What about existing surfaces such as paint?

Your concrete must be thoroughly clean and free from any surface contaminants prior to applying Spray Paving. Any paint, pebblecrete, old coloured sealer etc will be thoroughly removed by us and the costs for this will be included in your free quote.  If the surface is not clean the spray paving products will not adhere and will result in lifting and peeling of the job.  This is where we exceed our competitors with our 8 stage cleaning process - unique to Spray Pave Australia Pty Ltd and its many franchisees.
